KeyPact pillars:
File Management
Your files will be semi-automatically structured, but you still have absolute freedom. We separate shared and received files for your benefit. Each file you receive will be in your inbox/"name". Each file that you share with someone will be in outbox/"name". If you delete a file, that file will be deleted for everybody. All your files are stored in the storage folder. These are then fully encrypted and available to share quickly.
Security level
Did we invent the wheel again? No, we only used the good parts for your benefit. We use existing encryption that your government used to secure their secrets. If they can do it, so should you. And that is why we build KeyPact. We use RSA4096 key with AES256-CBC encryption. We don’t want your keys and we don’t save your keys. Each file has its own unique 128bits AES key. Your data is only stored in encrypted form on our back-end. More info in Key Management section.
Key Management
Each user has its own Key pair. A public and private version (4096 bits). Your private key is split in multiple parts and store separately. One part is stored on your computer, yes, AES 256 bits encrypted. The other part is encrypted and stored on our back-end. Each file is encrypted with a unique 128 bits secret key and is generated on your system every time you encrypt a file. Each AES secret key is encrypted with your Public key
We are changing the way of sharing. The files you share are protected simply but technically very complex. The unique key is created on your computer and stays there. Every time you share something, a new key is created to encrypt the file, photo or video. So every file, every photo and every video has it's own encryption key! Where others keep the key's on a server, at KeyPact the encryption key remains on your computer. Nobody can acces this, not even us from KeyPact.
